The second TEDxChalkida will take place in Chalkida on May 27 2017 at the Conference Hall of the Prefecture of Evia, Region of Central Greece, which is located in Haina st, 98 in Chalkida.

Our audience, the so called TEDxSters, is visionary people from different domains and walks of life. The attendance of the event will only be possible after submitting your interest in participating, following the global pattern of TEDx Events across the globe. In case demand is higher than the capacity of the auditorium, there will be specific criteria of attendees’ selection.

We look forward to walk along the path of Exelixis and experiencing the second TEDx event in our city!

From the ‘Big Bang’, which theoretically marks the beginning of time, to the modern digital revolution time waits for no man, it does not stop, it does not linger. Our evolution is based on perpetual forces. Change is inevitable when you move. The circle of day and night, the circle of life, the child who grows and becomes an adult, the aging man, life and death. During these unavoidable changes people move forward and backward and this is exelixis.

We mature overcoming obstacles, setting new goals, confronting fears and challenges or simply by following the course of events. Exelixis is a process of creation and growth, it is a step forward and this is how we choose to perceive it. You are invited to walk along this path of #exelixis.

“I was taught that the way of progress was neither swift nor easy”
Marie Curie

“Everything changes and nothing stands still”

An inspiring talk can motivate you to reach for the stars or even change your life. This year TEDxChalkida will host a variety of speakers travelling within Greece and from abroad making the event the ideal place to “plant a seed” that will inspire ideas and change.

T stands for team work, E for exelixis, D for dedication. These are only some of the qualities that TEDxChalkida possesses. Trust, commitment, respect, support, passion, embracement of different ideas, opinions and common vision make our team great.

Who are we?…Meet our dream team.

Kostis Leventogiannis

Director

Kostis was born in the summer of 1979 and - as all heroes - in August. He has been a restless spirit from an early age, both in sleep and games. Growing up, in his mind, all things were like a blockbuster movie (with special effects, crazy car chases and him in the end winning the girl). It came as a natural consequence that he wanted to realize all these things. And what could be better than becoming a director. He wants to hold the baton and feel the rhythm of ``life`` behind and in front of the camera and to actualize all his thoughts. These last 20 years were so fascinating (with ideas and challenges). Like the one of TEDx. He is ready for this journey... Are you?
